Derek L. Hall, PC is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal Near Ridgeland, MS

Due to continued expansion, we have an immediate opening for a Litigation Paralegal for our office in Ridgeland, MS. This is a full-time position, with a competitive salary and benefits package offered.

We are a busy Plaintiff's personal injury firm in Ridgeland, MS looking for a full-time Litigation Paralegal who will be supporting a trial attorney. This job will entail TRIAL PREPARATION, MOTION WRITING, COURT FILING, CALENDARING, SCHEDULING, DISCOVERY, and all other tasks required. The Litigation Paralegal will be assisting the attorney in depositions, witness preparation, and research. They will also act as an assistant to the attorney during the court proceedings. Once the trial is over, the Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for closing out the case documents.

Can you write well? Can you draft a letter to opposing counsel? Can you read medical records and tell the story of the case? If you answered yes to the above questions, we encourage you to apply!

This is a great job for someone who really wants to be involved in the cases. We welcome our paralegals to offer their ideas on how to win the case and to be an advocate for our clients. If you felt that your previous work experience did not expose you too much, and you're ready to get more involved, this will be a great job for you!

We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years of experience as a paralegal. We need someone who can hit the ground running and will not need initial training beyond familiarizing with our systems and internal procedures.

Experience working in a Personal Injury law firm is a MUST. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required. MS Word /Adobe Acrobat/ Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Google Sheets) experience is required. Knowledge of Apple computers is a plus, but not required.
